Once last fall semester hit...it hit hard...I barely had time to breathe...let along blog...
Barry:
*Still working hard as as manager at SRP...been over 10 years now
*Enjoyed going to a lot of Suns games at the end of season as our favorite player, Vince Carter,
was traded here!!! :-)
*Now enjoying watching the Reds games (went to several spring training games), and I'm sure
is looking forward to football season!
Michelle:
*Taught strength & conditioning classes during the fall semester at Phoenix College for
the Men's & Women's Basketball teams
*Head Coach for Gilbert Christian High School Varsity team
*Had MAJOR ankle reconstructive surgery September 20, 2010; this included a missing
ligament, a shredded ligament, & a 5" tear in my tendon all in my left foot.
*Was non-weight bearing for 4 weeks (I think...may have been 5)
*Thought I'd be back to work in 4 days...it was 2 weeks! haha
*Was in physical therapy 3 days a week for 4 months
*Didn't teach the spring semester due to lack of babysitting for Makayla
*Cheer season ended in mid-February
*Adjusting to my new role as full time stay at home mommy
*Starting new medicine (this week) for both my RA & Fibromyalgia
*Will not be teaching again this fall at the college
*Just started cheer back up and am coaching both the Varsity & Junior High Teams
*Working very slowly at painting the interior of our house
Makayla:
*She's just growing up plain & simple...too many changes to list and/or remember sadly...
*Takes dance lessons (tap & ballet) and loves it
*Talking like a big girl in complete sentences
*Still loves Max & Ruby in which her 3rd birthday party was all Max & Ruby
*Finally moved her crib into a day bed with toddler rail
*Loves singing songs...in the car & saying her ABC's
*Has been counting to 20 for a long time now
*Her hair is down to the middle of her back, but you would never know it because of the curls
*Getting ready to start swimming lessons and is very excited
*Loves to work puzzles
*Doing pretty good at potty training...just not getting the poopy in the potty yet.
*Had a severe allergic reaction back in January 2011 at church when they fed her goldfish
*Still drinking her speciality formula for at least another year
*LOVES being outside...the girl would live outside if you let her
*FINALLY let's me do her hair...wahoo!!!
*Picks her clothes out on some days
*LOVES going to the zoo (we have a membership now)
*Has been riding her tricycle all by herself for over 2 months now
*Goes crazy when she sees a school bus pass our car...she yells, "SCHOOL BUS!!!)
*Doesn't take naps anymore (stopped back in January 2011) unless she happens to wake up
really early in the morning which is rare
*Loves to be tickled
*Loves finding & watching Geckos
*Loves going on little kid amusement park rides
*Is way more outgoing with kids then she used to be; she still can be shy around people older
than her though
*Is going to be starting a cheer & tumble class
*Loves to color and do art projects
*Loves pitch a baseball for mommy & daddy to hit
*Loves jello & pickles (not together)
*Our dog, Max, is her best buddy in the world
*When she shoots her basketball into her hoop upstairs, she says, "Vince Carter for 3!"
*She wants to be a doctor
*Loves to tell strangers "hi" and always says to me afterwards, "Mommy, I said hi!" :-)
*Is starting to use stall tactics at bedtime...haha..."I need to go potty" "I need a drink" etc
*Still loves reading books
*Still in a rear-facing carseat; call us crazy, but she fits fine & it is MUCH safer!
*Gives the best hugs in the whole world
Well, there you have it...some of the highlights I can remember...if I think of more, I will post! Hopefully it won't be another 9 months before I visit this blog again...
