So over the past week, Makayla wants me to sing to her before she takes a nap & before she goes to bed. Her two requests are always, "Jesus," meaning "Jesus Loves Me" and "Imagine" meaning "I Can Only Imagine." It's funny because I listen to KLOVE all the time, yet when I get in her room & start singing to her...all that comes in my head is the old hymns we used to sing in church. I sing a lot of "Oh How He Loves You & Me," "Amazing Grace," the newer "How Great is Our God," etc. It's been a very special time between us, and I love singing to her...I love her being exposed to music and especially those lyrics. I hear her babbling some "songs" sometimes...I can't wait until I can truly make it out what she is trying to sing. I just love you, Makayla...I hope these songs that I sing to you make a lasting impact on you and that you will sing them to your children someday. Here's a little video I shot today after her nap!
