Time to Catch Up

It's funny how I'm on summer break right now yet I feel busier than ever! I have so many projects I would like to accomplish, but I know I need to focus my energies on one thing at a time. I have decided to work on catching up on all our pictures. I LOVE photo albums. The digital age has put me so far behind on photo books. I am working on getting all our photos over the last 5 years labled & on Snapfish. Then hopefully I can start printing and scrapbooking. This is a huge undertaking, but I just love sitting around looking back at photos...in a book!! :-)

This past week, Barry took his AWW (Alternative Work Week) on Wednesday. He was able to come to Makayla's Babies In Motion class. He enjoyed being there but was surprised to by her lack of involvement. He thinks she's just unsure of the environment. We go through the end of July so hopefully by then she will be more comfortable. We tried to get her to crawl through a tunnel, but she wouldn't have any part of it! We then got to go eat a nice lunch at Grimaldi's pizza. YUMMY!

When it comes to exploring at home, Makayla is all for it! This past week she has discovered how to sit in the end tables. I guess it's like her little hideout! :-) She attempted the coffee table but got stuck. I told her she could continue to go in the end tables but no more coffee table! Yesterday, (Sunday, June 7) she crawled over to the bottom of the stairs which she does a lot. This time though she began to go up the stairs!!! She is a tiny little thing to attempt such a big feat. Barry followed her as she went up to the top. CRAZY!!! Well, as you can imagine we now have a gate downstairs so she cannot get close to the stairs. She is WAY TOO LITTLE to be going up & down the stairs. Barry put some cabinet latches on most of our kitchen cabinets. She has been opening them up which isn't always the safest thing. We left a few unlatched that have things in them that she can play with and not hurt herself.

Finally, I took Makayla in for a weight check this past week. She weighed 18lbs meaning she lost 2 ounces from the previous weigh-in 10 days earlier. This is obviously not good. I will keep weighing her every other week to keep tabs on her growth or lack there of. She looks healthy though, but her eating patterns are all over the board still. She is scheduled to see a feeding therapist at the end of the month.

Well, time to go work on some more pictures which Pumpkin is napping. I have to work today in the fitness center so I don't have too much time!
