Partially ruptured tendon

Well, I knew I did something to my foot last Friday...on Tuesday it was confirmed that I had partially ruptured my main tendon in my left foot. It all started 5 years ago when RA struck me. 2 years ago my arches collapsed which happens in about 50% of all RA patients. I then got 3 stress fractures in my left foot due to the fallen arches. I had to wear a boot for 6 weeks. This past June, I started to get plantar fascitits in my left heel. I put off going to the foot doctor. Well, last Friday I was demonstrating a simple drill to the men's basketball team on the agility ladder. That's when I felt something pop in the arch of my left foot. Uh oh...I knew that wasn't a good sign. I continued on, and no one knew anything had happened. By the evening I could barely walk. It seemed to get a little better the following days, but it still was pretty painful. I got in pretty quick to the foot doctor where he confirmed the tear. I am back in that boot for 2-4 weeks. I really could use a foot replacement surgery! :-)
