Well, maybe not shrinking, but her weight loss continues to increase. We have had a pretty bad week again. I took her in on Tuesday, and her weight was down to 18lbs 7oz...another 5 oz lost since last Thursday! :-( I hope we can get this turned around quickly as her check-up at the GI is next Thursday!!! AGHHH!!! I'm terrified although we have some other issues going on such as illness and teething. So just maybe they will have a little grace for the weight loss and grant us another month to see if she can improve.
When you go to junior formula (ages 1-10), you can choose a few flavors. They have the option of vanilla, tropical, chocolate, and unflavored. This goes for the Neocate we tend to use. I think Elecare only comes in vanilla and unflavored. Anyway, I've been hounded by several people to try the chocolate. I guarantee she will love it and want to drink it all the time. So with the added pressure of this recent weight loss and the upcoming GI appointment, I decided to try it. Monday night she had some for dinner and bedtime. She didn't drink any more of that though then her normal unflavored. Here's the kicker: our little Makayla was SOOOO very wired from the chocolate Neocate that she didn't go to bed until 2:52AM!!!!!!!! You read that correctly, 2:52AM!!!!!!!! It was horrible. A complete nightmare!!! She then woke up for the day at 6:00AM!!!! Okay, normally, Makayla will be asleep by 9/9:30pm and wake up around 8:30-9:30am. We felt so bad for her, and of course I was even more stressed than ever. I will never ever ever ever again use that chocolate formula. I guess I've tried to keep her body so pure of the artificial stuff and really sugary things, that her body didn't know how to react. It was disgusting to me to think how we treat our bodies. We don't feel the effects like Makayla did because our bodies have grown used to the junk. Lesson learned...follow my instinct...and feed her as organic as possible because I know that a day is coming when I won't have such control over her foods/drinks. :-)
Needless to say, she went down for an early nap & slept for almost 5 hours. She has been back on schedule ever since THANK YOU, LORD!!! Momma needs her sleep, and Makayla takes after me in the sleep department!
Yesterday was a BAD day eating while I was at work...which is making me lean towards leaving my job even more. The difficult thing is 1.) I LOVE MY JOB!!!!! 2.) The position I currently have would be almost impossible to ever have again. I know the Lord will guide me in whatever is best for everyone! I just have to be willing to follow!
Okay, I better go wake the sleeping Pumpkin up from her nap because it's dinner time!!!
