New Word

So yesterday at dinner Makayla said the word "done" as in, "I'm done with dinner." It was so cute!! So she says lots of D words, but that is about it. The list is Daddy, Duck, Down, Done, and Mama. Her voice is just so precious. Okay, maybe not through the screaming toddler fits, but still I have LOTS to be thankful for with her!!

Tonight it was so nice outside. I know this may sound crazy, but it was only 97 degrees around 6pm with a little breeze that was actually kinda cool. Normally around this time of night it is 110+ so 13 degrees cooler feels GREAT!! I took Makayla out back to let her run around in the grass. At first she just stood there and didn't move. It didn't take her long though to start running around the yard. She would go up on the patio...turn around...then go back onto the grass. We were out there for at least 45 minutes. When it was time to come inside she threw a BIG toddler fit. She was not happy with Mama to say the least. :-)

And yes, she is starting to run. She has been running downstairs around the family room & kitchen most of the day. She still makes me very nervous that she is going to trip & fall on the hard tile, but what is a Mom supposed to do? She needs to develop, and I guess that's why they make bandaids for! So far okay though...
